FAQ

Questions we get asked a lot.

Answers to the questions that come up before teams start a web scraping, data pipeline, AI, ERP, CRM, or MVP project with us — across ecommerce, real estate, legal tech, and general operations.

Is web scraping legal for our use case?

It depends on jurisdiction, the site's terms, and how the data is used. Most of our work collects public data (listings, court filings, prices, directories) — we help you assess collection patterns and design pipelines that respect robots.txt and contractual boundaries where required.

How much does custom software cost compared to buying a SaaS tool?

SaaS tools win when your workflow fits their template. Custom builds win when it doesn't — when off-the-shelf software forces your team into someone else's process. We scope engagements around the real cost of ownership so you can compare against subscription pricing honestly, not just sticker price.

How long does an MVP take to build?

Most MVPs ship in 4-8 weeks depending on scope — enough to onboard real users and start collecting feedback, without over-engineering features nobody has validated yet.

Can you handle sites protected by CAPTCHA or anti-bot systems?

Yes. We combine headless browser automation, residential and datacenter proxies, fingerprint tuning, and backoff strategies. For hard cases like audio CAPTCHAs, we've built in-house ML solvers rather than relying only on paid third-party services.

Do you sign NDAs and handle sensitive or legal data securely?

Yes — NDAs, access controls, and audit trails are standard for engagements involving sensitive, financial, or legal data. We scope security and compliance requirements before any data starts moving.

Is this a one-time build, or do you handle ongoing maintenance?

Both models exist. Some engagements are one-off deliveries (a dataset, an MVP); most data pipelines and scrapers include a maintenance retainer, since source sites and APIs change and someone needs to own reliability.

What happens if a data source changes or breaks?

Production pipelines ship with monitoring, alerting, and retry logic so failures surface immediately instead of silently going stale. Maintenance retainers cover fixing breakage when upstream sites or APIs change their structure.

Can you integrate with our existing stack — CRM, ERP, or data warehouse?

Yes. We regularly connect scrapers and pipelines to BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Postgres, Metabase, and custom internal systems, and build API/webhook integrations into tools your team already uses.

Do you work with companies outside Brazil?

Yes — most of our current engagements are with teams in the US, UK, and EU. We work async across time zones and communicate in English, Portuguese, French, or Spanish.

How does pricing and engagement work?

Engagements are scoped to the project — fixed-price for well-defined builds, retainer-based for ongoing pipelines and maintenance. There is no public price list because the right structure depends on data volume, sources, and complexity; book a discovery call and we will scope it with you.
